PHLEGM

Born in North Wales and now residing in Sheffield, UK, cartoonist and illustrator Phlegm is well known for his self-published comics and more recently for his trailblazing graffiti/street art. Many of the larger-than-life characters that adorn the walls he spray paints originate from his comics.
Much of his artwork is illustration-based, this lack of true graffiti-style has enabled Phlegm to develop a unique voice and instantly recognizable style, the last 12 months has seen an explosion of interest in Phlegm’s work and we’re more than happy to help spread his style and technique to the walls of Norway.

Little has yet been written on Phlegm’s street work so we’ll let him introduce himself in his own words.

I’m based in Sheffield, UK. My artwork has grown up from my love for self publishing and a d.i.y ethos. I like to work quite independently and private, drawing comics using old dip pens and then messing around reproducing the narrative based work on walls using rollers and spray paint. This way of working means i can live like a hermit and spend most of my time in a strange world inside my head.
