DABS AND MYLA (AU)
An honoury mention has to go the fabulous Australian born, LA based couple, that is Dabs & Myla. Though not active partcipants in this years festival, they did head over to Stavanger earlier this summer to hit this great downtown spot. Initially in Norway to sign their print for HMP in Bergen, it just took a few phone calls, a root through Nuart's "walls" file and a 5 hour ferry ride down the fjords to Stavanger, home of Nuart. 3 days of blazing sunshine, copious amounts of ice cream and numerous cans later, Stavanger was the proud host of possibly its most colourful, fun mural yet.
Here's what they had to say about the trip.
"We also got to head over to Stavanger and meet up with the peoples who organize NuArt Festival. They organized a really amazing spot in the city centre for us. It was several walls all running down the side of a building so we tried to use them to make something like an outside installation…really happy with the outcome! Looking forward to developing on that idea further in the future!"
