ANDRECO (IT)

Andreco (IT) was born in Rome and splits his time between Bologna and New York City as both artist and scientist. He has a PhD in environmental engineering, doing postdoctoral research on green technologies for urban sustainability in collaboration with the School of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Bologna and Columbia University of New York City. His artistic research is focused on the relation between humans and nature and between manmade environments and their natural landscapes.

Since 2000 Andreco has studied a variety of topics including urbanism, environmental sustainability, anatomy, ecology and symbolism. This breadth of knowledge has fueled his imagination and his art. He utilises many techniques, including; public installations, videos, wall paintings and drawings. Andreco has collaborated with and been exhibited at numerous international festivals, museums and galleries.
