ELLA & PITR - LIVE FAST, DIE OLD
Ella & Pitr returned to Norway in June 2017 to produce a large-scale mural and series of smaller artworks for the Norwegian Youth Festivals of Art (UKM). With the help of 20 participants they transformed a hidden area off Langgata (Sandnes’ main thoroughfare) with a huge anamorphic painting and large number of paste ups.
Ella & Pitr also found time to contribute to Nuart's on-going public art project - The Aftenblad Wall - as well as hit the streets with a series of their own paste ups and ad busts.
About UKM
The 2017 Norwegian Youth Festivals of Art (UKM) in Sandnes saw 500 participants from all over Norway collaborate to create performances, installations and works of art in public space.
UKM arrange festivals all over Norway where young artists between the ages of 13 and 20 can perform and express their artistic vision in front of an audience and each other. During the festivals, participants also attend workshops, where they can explore their interests and be inspired by the works of other artists.
